Tile amount calculator for your tile project
Here under is a formula to calculate the amount of tiles needed for your tile installer/setter to complete your project.
Here’s a formula to calculate how many tiles you will need to cover a certain amount of space for your tile setter:
Measure the length of one side of the room. If it is a wall project, then measure the length of the wall running up and down.
Measure the length of the other side of the room.
Multiply the two measurements.
Translate the square footage to the amount of tile you need.
Calculate the overage you’ll need.
Here’s an example: Let’s say you have a room that is 10 feet wide and 12 feet long.
You want to tile it with 12-inch square tiles. Here’s how you would calculate how many tiles you need:
Measure one side of the room: 10 feet
Measure the other side of the room: 12 feet
Multiply those two measurements: 10 x 12 = 120 square feet
Each tile being 1 Square foot, you will need 120 tiles.
There is a easier way... enter your tiles dimensions and area to cover up here ; )
I hope this helps! Thank you for considering our tile setter.
